Pre-Vocational
This program offers individuals the opportunity to prepare for competitive employment. Individuals learn skills they feel the need to improve upon their person centered plan including:
- Soft Skills
- Employability Skills
- Team-building
- Independence
Job Clubs are an important component of this program. This program can be delivered both at CRI facilities and in the community. Please feel free to contact our Services Manager for more information.
Community Employment
This highly individualized program offers the following services to ensure a successful career match:
- Assessments
- Work Trials
- On-the-job Training
- Job Coaching
- Job Placement – either full-time or part-time based on personal choice
- Application/Resume Development
- Interview Training
- Career Exploration/Discovery
- Work Experiences

Youth School-To-Work
CRI works closely with schools and families in the Chippewa Valley area to assist students with special education and vocational needs as they transition from school to work. Work services in this program are flexible depending on school schedules and student needs. This program prepares students for independent work and includes:

- Work Experience
- Work Adjustment Training
- Interest Awareness
- Job Clubs
- Pre-Employment Transition Services (PETS) & Community-Based Pre-Vocational
Community Based Pre-Vocational
Community Based Pre Vocational services offer individuals an opportunity to make reasonable and continued progress toward voluntary participation in integrated employment. These services are intended to be the stepping stone leading to a community integrated job if the individual chooses.
Activities are performed throughout the community ( i.e. local businesses, library, job center, etc.). Individuals will participate activities with a Community Integration Coach and could be paired with two to three other individuals. This is a time limited program and is intended for individuals who want to learn more about community based employment.
Individuals will participate in career and community exploration. Activities will occur in a variety ways such as classroom environment learning, job club, job shadowing, touring businesses, attending job fairs, and various community activities.
